Now in its second year, The Node.js Foundation brings its flagship event, Node.js Interactive, to Europe in September and back to North America in November.
Node.js Interactive attendees collaborate face-to-face, network, and learn how to better their skills in IoT, backend and frontend development. Last year’s inaugural Node.js Interactive in Portland, Oregon in December was a huge success, with 714 attendees representing 351 companies from 26 countries.
NEW for Node.js Interactive 2016 — Free Childcare and Diversity Scholarships
The Linux Foundation, under whose auspices the Node.js Foundation operates, signaled its continued commitment to diversity in tech through its recent partnership with Women Who Code.
The Node.js Foundation — equally committed to ensuring our events are inclusive and welcoming to everyone — will have two new programs at Node.js Interactive to encourage diversity.
Both Node.js Interactive Europe and North America will offer onsite childcare free of charge for attendees. Staffed by licensed childcare professionals, parents and legal guardians wishing to attend these events can do so without worry. Details for Node.js Interactive Europe childcare can be found here, and for North America here.
The Node.js Foundation is serious about including everyone in our community, so we are reaching out to members of traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized groups in the technology and/or open source communities. Three scholarships will be provided and recipients will receive coach airfare, hotel (up to 3 nights), and conference registration.

Call for Papers
Call for papers and speakers is now open for Node.js Interactive Europe and North America! This year we are particularly interested in topics for new developers, DevOps, enterprise and Web developers. So, get your thinking cap on and get on over to the CFP site. Partial travel reimbursements are available based on demand and a case-by-case review. If you need some inspiration, check out the presentations from Node.js Interactive 2015.
